The company Eko Hnízdo s.r.o. dates back to 1993 and works on 140 ha of vineyards around the village of Vrbovec, in the area of Ječmeniště that has always been well-known for excellent wine.
The local renowned vineyard sites include Lampelberg that was named after the local look-out built in 1860. Vineyards are treated according to ecological principles and when the transitional period is over, these vineyards will also give grapes for bio-wine. The winery regularly wins awards on local and international exhibitions. A significant success was the first place for the best collection in the competition Small Cyclopaedia of Bohemian and Moravian Wines.
Varieties for the wines marked with the VOC Znojmo label come from the vineyard sites of Ječmeniště, Šác, Lampelberg, Vinná hora, U kamenů and Dolina, which are mostly located within the Vrbovec area.
